Demolition
The demolition industry has undergone a radical change in methodology and operational processes over the last 20 or so years. This change has mirrored the changing designs and materials used to construct the buildings now being demolished and must inevitably keep changing to ensure a safe and efficient demolition process.
Dorton Demolition & Excavation Limited have endeavoured to keep ahead of these changes by developing innovative methodology, carrying out bespoke training and the procurement of new plant and equipment that embraces the most up to date technology. Our impressive portfolio of projects include;
- Heavy Industrial Facilities
- Marine Environments
- Power Plants
- Mineral Extraction Plants
- Commercial & Industrial Buildings
- City / Town Centre Structures
- Facade Retention
- Domestic Properties
- Bridges
- Railtrack
- and many more
Our modern fleet of wholly owned plant and vehicles, which is maintained to the highest standards by our in house fitting staff, is renewed regularly and sourced from the leading suppliers of the world.
We also have our non plant operatives to consider and although hand and manual operations have been greatly reduced over the years, we have a range of light weight bespoke equipment for use that greatly reduces the effects of hand arm vibration, noise and heavy lifting.
Demolition is a serious business that is not without its potential for hazards. At Dorton’s we pride ourselves on being proactive and business like when it comes to the assessment of risk, be that from human factors or commercial. The safety of our workforce is one of our prime concerns, just as looking after the interests of our clients is another. In mitigating against those factors that would detract from this policy we have aligned with recognised trade and safety organisations, winning annual safety awards and being a registered company with ISO 9001 and 14001 systems in place.
Our clients will appreciate that the management of a project hinges on the skills of the individuals to apply the principles of good team work, At Dorton, we thrive on the challenge of delivering all our projects on time and on budget. We recognise the importance of applying our effects equally in complying with our industry standard BS 6187:2000, the statutory and regulatory instruments such as CDM 2007 and all Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
